Includes a facsimile of the original Anglo-Saxon manuscript pages of both Swithun and St. Maria, then the Anglo-Saxon text with a facing literal English translation, a lengthy essay on the life and times of Swithun with a shorter essay on Maria. Normal small wear to the boards, interior has an owner name that looks early, there is some foxing throughout but otherwise clean and unmarked. Latin text at the top with notes and helps underneath. A very attractive nearly-200 year old translation of Virgil's Bucolics with lots of critical help.
