Near Fine cloth with gilt lettering and designs on spine and cover and Very Good DJ in protective Brodart mylar cover. Gilt lettering is brilliant and clear. Spine is straight and tight. Light sun fading and soiling to top edge of front cover, otherwise I would classify the book as Fine. All pages bright and clean. No markings, creases, or tears. DJ is Very Good with moderate shelf wear and chipping to top and bottom and 3/4 inch closed tear at top of front cover and light sun fading to spine. Not ex lib, not clipped, not remaindered. Index of first lines and titles. 127 pages.

Very Good cloth second edition (1936) with gilt lettering on spine and Good DJ in protective mylar cover. This second edition introduced for the first time a speech by the chorus to begin part two. The book is in excellent condition: spine is straight and tight. Light rubbing and shelf wear to top and bottom of spine and bottom of front cover. I classify it as Very Good rather than Near Fine because there are a good many penciled notes in the margins throughout the text. Previous owner's name at top right of front free end paper. 86 pages. The DJ has abrasions at bottom of spine and a 1/2 inch tear across top of spine along with age toning overall and creasing to top of front cover area. Looks pretty good in brodart mylar cover, though (see images). 86 pages.

New Yorkk: Terence & Elsa Holliday, 1932. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Good limited edition cloth SIGNED by T.S. Eliot with gilt lettering on spine and marbled boards. No DJ. This is #108 of 110 copies. Eliot's signature appears at the bottom of the edition number page just before the title page. The spine is straight and tight, but the pages show age toning and light smudging throughout. Some of this may be the result of exposure to moisture, but all are straight and legible. The frontispiece portrait of Dryden, done in red ink, is still in good shape but the red ink has bled through the page a bit. Does not affect the signature. See photos please. There is a 1/2 inch abrasion to the marbling pattern on the back cover. 68 pages.

Hartford: Canfield and Robins, 1838. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Near Fine/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Near Fine hardcover first edition with gilt lettering on cover (spine is too narrow to receive lettering). This is a 48 page poem published in 1838 in remarkably good condition, given its antiquity. 1/4 inch tear to cloth cover at bottom of spine. Shelf wear and rubbing to top and bottom of spine and cover. Corners rubbed and slightly bumped. There is considerable foxing to end papers (front and back) but virtually none on title page and actual pages of text. Age toning throughout commensurate with age. Front free end paper and flyleaf show the outline where a paper clip was once attached. Notes to text at end. 48 pages.
