Binding good with no issues, no torn or loose pages, no signatures or bookplates. Top edge shows faint darkening due to dust. Pages toned. Both hinges at boards are still closed but at page 112/113 the hinge is pulled due to somebody opening the book all the way. See photos.

DJs worn and spotted and has numerous small chips and tears, mainly along edges and corners. Brown cloth boards underneath are still mostly clean and have been well protected by the jacket. Internal binding is good, no hinge issues. No signatures or bookplates, no library markings. Pages are toned due to age and some foxing and spotting is present.

Exterior shows minor handling and wear along with some light spotting and fading. Internal binding is good and text pages are tight. No hinge issues, no signatures, no bookplates, no library markings, no handwriting or underlining, no remainder marks. Pages are clean with no issues other than a light outline mark on the front pastedown and page which may have been caused by a receipt or piece of paper which once was placed there.

New York: Random House, 1955. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover with dust jacket. Original price of $4.75 is still present on the front flap. DJ is toned and spotted along with edge and corner chips and tears, edges at top and bottom of DJ spine area are frayed as well. Dark blue cloth boards underneath are clean though there is some fading along the edges, mainly on the front board copper and silver text and design is still clean and bright, corners mildly bumped. Internal binding is good and text pages are tight. No signatures or bookplates present, no library markings, no handwriting found. Copyright page states first printing.

Light soiling and a few bumping/dents noted on cover. Previous owner's name written on front end page, no other handwriting noted. Fully illustrated. 46th Edition.

Softcover, original 1912 publication with original wraps - not a modern reprint or rebound library copy. Exterior shows toning along with some light staining and soiling, larger stain is present along spine edge on rear cover. Edges and corner show bumps and the covers at the top of the spine shows a tear of about 1 inch. Internal binding is good pages are tight. Paper is toned due to age and there is some spotting/foxing present. Corner bumps that were present on the exterior are present on the interior pages as well, page 6 contains a large foldout map which is attached and in good shape.

New York: Dingwell-Rock, Ltd., 1925. Limited Edition . Hardcover. Fine. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcovers, two volume matched set bound in blue cloth with gilt design on spine. The end pages in both volumes state" Of the Beau Brummel Edition of the Earl of Chesterfield's Letters to his Son, 1999 sets have been printed of which this is set No. 1894". The exteriors on both books are clean with only minor spotting to the shine and edge bumps. Both books are stamped with the previous owner's name (Otto W. Strachan of Mt. Rainier, MD) but are clean and tight. On both volumes there are quadrants of pages that are still uncut, mainly located in the rear of the books. Pages are toned due to age and tissue guards are present. Even the freestanding pieces of tissue used to protect the page with the limited edition numbering is stamped are still present. Softcover, original publication printed in 1918 and not a newer reprint. Stable bound wraps are yellowed with age with two small dampstains on the front and some blue ink smears on the back. Edges and corner show bumps/small tears. Internal binding is good and all pages are secure. No signatures or bookplates, no handwriting or library markings noted. Pages are toned due to age and quality of paper used. An extremely rare copy in the original format.

London: Gerald Howe Ltd., 1929. Limited Edition . Hardcover. Good. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. See photos for condition details. Tall hardcover, brown buckram boards with gilt text on spine. Exterior has a shellac feel to it and rear board shows a large rectangle which is a lighter shade. Front board has scuff marks near the top right corner. Interior binding is good, no hinge issues. One of the front pages states :" Of this book 750 copies have been printed for England and America at The Westminster Press and the type has been distributed". The interior pages shows scattered dark spots which could be discoloring from soot or coal smoke though the book has no smell to indicate this and the issues are mainly limited to the end pages and pastedowns. Title page, frontispiece and tissue guard shows light dampstaining along the extreme edges. The bottom exterior edge also has a dark spot near the spine edge.

Chapel Hill, NC: The University of North Carolina Press, 1947. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, black cloth boards with white on spine. Exterior shows some scuffing and soiling along with edge and corner bumps/wear. The internal binding is good, no hinge issues and text pages are tight. The front pastedown contains a bookplate (Lee Evans Ridgway) and the opposite end page contains a 1947 gift inscription. No other handwriting found in the book. Overall pages are clean though there are a few smudge marks present.

Philadelphia, PA: Morwitz & Co., 1880. First US Edition . Hardcover. Very Good. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, stamped maroon cloth boards shows some spotting scuffing and fading to the spine. This is the first German edition printed in the US by Moritz and Company from Philadelphia. There is no publication date (ca 1880). Internal binding has some pulling in spots but no hinges are actually cracked. Worst of the pulling is at the third front end page where the webbing is starting to peek through. There are no signatures or bookplates, no library markings, no handwriting found. Pages are mildly toned due to age and there is some scattered foxing and spotting present, though most pages are clean.

Chapel Hill, NC: The University of North Carolina Press, 1960. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, brown cloth boards show a bit of scuffing and the front board has a small light spot near the upper right corner. Edges and corners lightly bumped/worn. The internal binding is good, no hinge issues other than some minor pulling. The front end page contains a signature and date (Clarence S Hunter, May 1961) and there is remnants of a price once penciled in the corner that was erased. No bookplates, no library markings, no remainder marks.

Exterior is in very rough shape with dampstains to both boards and spine, front board also has damage to center which feels like it may be from glue. Corners and edges also show bumps/wear. Spite the rough exterior interior text pages are good, though hinge is cracked at rear board and title page. Pages are toned due to age scattered foxing in smudge marks are present. Inscribed and signed by W. W. Charters on the first end page where he presented the book in appreciation to M. Salsbury: "To M. Harleysville, PA: Union National Bank and Trust Company , 1973. 3rd Printing. Spiral bound. Good+. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Softcover, blue plastic comb style spiral binding with white card stock covers. Exterior is yellowed with age and has spotting and soiling, corners and edges show bumps. Binding is good, to the comb teeth are offset and are outside of the ring. I did not want to risk breaking them off by trying to get them back in place. Interior pages are secure - nothing torn, nothing loose. Pages are toned due to age with a few minor smudge marks but no handwriting was found, no food splotches or stains, no drip marks noted on any of the pages. This is the third printing as stated on the title page.

Hardcover, pictorial blue cloth beveled boards show scuffing and soiling, spine is sunned. Chipping is present at lower edge of spine. The internal binding of the text. Pages are toned due to age and spotting/foxing is present. Previous owners info is written on the backside of the frontispiece stating the owner was a regimented Sergeant Major in the 1st Scots Guards. This is a bound edition of the magazine from January to December, 1889.

Internal binding is good, no hinge issues. Front and rear pastedown and end pages shows some spotting and foxing, the rear pastedown shows a mark where either a bookplate or a card pocket once sat. If it was a card pocket there are no library markings of any kind in this book. No signatures or bookplates, no library markings, nothing. Pages are toned due to age and there is some minor scattered foxing and spotting present. Please note this is a heavy book that weighs almost 5 pounds, non-US sales or priority mail shipping option may require additional postage.

Lucknow, India: Methodist Publishing House, 1899. Hardcover. Fair. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. See photos for condition details hardcover, black cloth boards with gilt text on spine. Interior shows spotting and soiling along with tearing around the corner edges of the upper and lower hinge areas. Interior binding has some issues at the boards: front hinge is cracked as is the rear hinge, though not as severe. There was also no rear end page - it is unknown if the book was printed this way but the possible missing free end page is the reason for the lower condition grading of fair. Remaining binding of the text pages is good and there are two different books with title pages bound in this edition: the first title page of "Tafsir Ahd-I-Atiq" contains 392 pages., the second is "Ahd I Atio Aur Us Ki Tafsir, Yaramiyah aur Nauhe aur Un Ki Tafsir by Padri T. The exterior shows scuffing and spotting, mainly on the front, and the hinge (located on top) shows chipping to the marbled cloth. Front cover also shows faint residue from where a price was once penciled in the upper right corner next to "Primera Parte". The internal binding is good and text pages are secure. It does not appear that this book was used as none of the worksheet pages have been written on. The first page inside the cover does contain a bookplate which has been pasted in the upper right corner. The book contains 100 single-sided pages.
