Exterior shows toning along with some light staining and soiling, larger stain is present along spine edge on rear cover. Edges and corner show bumps and the covers at the top of the spine shows a tear of about 1 inch. Internal binding is good pages are tight. Paper is toned due to age and there is some spotting/foxing present. Corner bumps that were present on the exterior are present on the interior pages as well, page 6 contains a large foldout map which is attached and in good shape.

The exteriors on both books are clean with only minor spotting to the shine and edge bumps. Both books are stamped with the previous owner's name (Otto W. Strachan of Mt. Rainier, MD) but are clean and tight. On both volumes there are quadrants of pages that are still uncut, mainly located in the rear of the books. London: Gerald Howe Ltd., 1929. Limited Edition . Hardcover. Good. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. See photos for condition details. Tall hardcover, brown buckram boards with gilt text on spine. Exterior has a shellac feel to it and rear board shows a large rectangle which is a lighter shade. Front board has scuff marks near the top right corner. Interior binding is good, no hinge issues. One of the front pages states :" Of this book 750 copies have been printed for England and America at The Westminster Press and the type has been distributed". The interior pages shows scattered dark spots which could be discoloring from soot or coal smoke though the book has no smell to indicate this and the issues are mainly limited to the end pages and pastedowns. Title page, frontispiece and tissue guard shows light dampstaining along the extreme edges. The bottom exterior edge also has a dark spot near the spine edge.

Hardcover, stamped maroon cloth boards shows some spotting scuffing and fading to the spine. This is the first German edition printed in the US by Moritz and Company from Philadelphia. There is no publication date (ca 1880). Internal binding has some pulling in spots but no hinges are actually cracked. Worst of the pulling is at the third front end page where the webbing is starting to peek through. There are no signatures or bookplates, no library markings, no handwriting found. Pages are mildly toned due to age and there is some scattered foxing and spotting present, though most pages are clean.

Harleysville, PA: Union National Bank and Trust Company , 1973. 3rd Printing. Spiral bound. Good+. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Softcover, blue plastic comb style spiral binding with white card stock covers. Exterior is yellowed with age and has spotting and soiling, corners and edges show bumps. Binding is good, to the comb teeth are offset and are outside of the ring. I did not want to risk breaking them off by trying to get them back in place. Interior pages are secure - nothing torn, nothing loose. Pages are toned due to age with a few minor smudge marks but no handwriting was found, no food splotches or stains, no drip marks noted on any of the pages. This is the third printing as stated on the title page.
