This lavish book "recreates a sketchbook of drawings by Etahdleuh Doanmoe that chronicle the experiences of seventy-two Southern Plains Indians captured by the U. S. Army in Oklahoma Territory (sic: should be "Indian Territory") in 1875." They were removed from Fort Sill to Ft. Marion, Florida. The fascinating story of the sketch book they created is the subject of this study. Includes a few photos by the famed Ft. Sill photographer, Will Soule. Near fine; slight bump lower back corner.

I do not know what publisher compiled these front pages, but this is kind of a remarkable printing job of key WWII stories. Slight split middle of back fold. 8pps folded twice. Vg.
