Some minor foxing to endpapers and the edges of the boards a little rubed and bumped but overall a very good, bright copy of this beautiful book. :

Book in publishers red cloth with black lettering and decoration to the spine. Rubbing to edges and splits to the top inch and half of front and rear spine hinges. Dustwrapper with loss to bottom 2 inches of spine and top half inch,affecting the letter t of The in the title. The rest of the title and author present. Loss to all edges and rubbing to hinges. Not a very good example of the wrapper but any pre 1920 Tarzan jackets are scarce and this one is about 90 intact.:

A fine copy of this rare facsimile of the Author's own annotated copy of the last work published in Poe's lifetime, and one he considered his finest. Fred De Fau & Company. New York. 1902. LIMITED EDITION. One of 1,000 numbered sets, this number 942. 10 volumes. 8vo. (7.7 x 5.5 inches). Finely bound by Brentanos in contemporary half tan morocco. Each spine with five raised bands, decorated with gilt piping. Compartments multi ruled and lettered in gilt and with blind tooled centre decorations. Marbled paper on boards. Gold on grey marbled endpapers. Top edges gilt, the others untrimmed and a few gatherings still unopened. Illustrated with decorative head and tail pieces, vignettes in the text and multiple full page black and white illustrations by F. S. Coburn throughout. Each frontis plate protected with a printed descriptive tissue guards. Title pages printed in red and black. Pages nice and clean throughout. There is some minor bumping and rubbing to the corners of the bindings and a couple of small scratches to the lower board of volume 9 but overall this is a near fine, handsome set in excellent condition that looks wonderful on the shelf.

Wrapper shows Film cast members Milton Sills, Betty Bronson and Noah Beery. Small chip to the bottom of the spine and a couple of small nicks but overall a very good example indeed.

Very light fading to the spines but still overall a very attractive set.:

Compartments decorated, ruled and lettered in gilt. Triple gilt ruled border on boards. Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales arms stamped in gilt to the front board. Gilt inner dentelles. Dark green endpapers. All edges gilt. Spine faded to a mellow brown but overall a fine attractive binding.

School arms for St. Paul's School, London, stamped in gilt on front board. Gilt stamped statue bust on the rear board. Marbled endpapers with a blank school prize label on the front pastedown endpaper. All edges gilt Two wide green silk ties to both boards. A fine copy in a fine binding. The binding is unsigned but certainly by a master Binder.

Blue cloth on boards. All edges gilt. Blue plain endpapers. Some offsetting to the edge of the endpapers, where the leather has touched the page, and just a hint of rubbing to the extremities, otherwise a near fine, beautifully bound, copy.

Hatchards, Piccadilly. London. 1879. Small 8vo. (4.8 x 3.6 inches). Contains scores of signatures in the dated sections, mostly members of the Huth family. Tipped in signatures of Queen Isabella II of Spain and Princess Mary Adelaide of Cambridge (the Mother of Queen Mary) and also four 19th century postage stamps from Hawaii. A very good copy in an attractive early leather binding. Finely bound by Riviere and Son in full dark blue morocco. Raised bands to spine. Compartments lettered in gilt. Gilt decorative roll to inner board edges. Marbled endpapers. All edges gilt. This is a fine, attractively bound copy.

City Lights. San Francisco. 1977. FOLIO in Tabloid format. Folded, as issued. 11 issues, complete. (17.7 x 11.4 inches). Very good condition throughout with some very minor rubbing and toning to the edges but still all clean and sound. The set has been very well looked after. Started by Vale with $100 from Lawrence Ferlinghetti and the same amount from Allen Ginsberg, Search & Destroy was a hugely influential recorder of the early Punk scene in America, while also reporting on and interviewing the bands making a name for themselves on the British scene, including Iggy Pop, Blondie, Dead Kennedys, X, Devo, The Ramones, Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Damned, Sham 69, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Buzzcocks and an article on Vivienne Westwood. Complete sets of the original publications are uncommon.

In an unusual hand painted wooden board binding. The boards are attached on metal hinges. The text pages sewn in with leather ties through the wooden spine. The front board features a painted colour bird drinking from a glass, the outlines and the lettering burnt into the wood. A very good copy of this unusual cocktail book.
