This epic western was filmed by Hollywood five times, in 1914, 1916, 1923, 1927, and 1936, although the last version is the most memorable and starred Fred MacMurray, Henry Fonda, and Sylvia Sidney. The book is bound in red cloth with gilt titles on the front panel and spine. There is some rubbing/fraying at the corners and spine tips. The book also has a slight forward slant. As for the interior, the binding is tight and secure, and the pages are clean and bright, but for those pages in proximity to the seven handsome illustrations by F.C. Yohn.
