New York: Simon & Schuster, 1964. This Stated First Printing (and unless it's stated, it's not) is in Very Good+ condition with a Very Good- price-clipped dust jacket. I've placed the dust jacket into an archival Brodart protective sleeve. Considering the breaches of civil liberties in our own era, this incredible story of one's man fight to reclaim his good name and reputation is as powerful today and when the events first occurred. It deals with John Henry Faulk, a popular radio and television personality of the 1950s who was blacklisted and decided to fight back against the lies, half-truths and innuendos that culminated in a history-making trial. The book is bound in a denim blue cloth cover with titles on the front panel and spine. The cloth has some fading at the edges. The binding is tight and secure. The text pages are clean and white throughout, with no stains, tears, or other marks. The dust jacket has some small chips and closed tears, repaired on the reverse. The book… Read More

Description:
New York, 1908. This western classic is a First Printing from October, 1908, and is in Very Good condition. It is missing the front free endpaper. This epic western was filmed by Hollywood five times, in 1914, 1916, 1923, 1927, and 1936, although the last version is the most memorable and starred Fred MacMurray, Henry Fonda, and Sylvia Sidney. The book is bound in red cloth with gilt titles on the front panel and spine. There is some rubbing/fraying at the corners and spine tips. The book also has a slight forward slant. As for the interior, the binding is tight and secure, and the pages are clean and bright, but for those pages in proximity to the seven handsome illustrations by F.C. Yohn. Apparently, acidity in the paper stock used for the illustrations caused light foxing on the tissue guard in the frontis, and on pages next to the illustrations. This same problem would exist in all period copies. The book measures 5 1/4 by 7 5/8 inches and includes 422 pages.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very… Read More
