Contemporary full morocco, raised flat bands, spine in five panels, title in gilt to second panel, author to fourth, remaining panels with central flower head with leaves and petals emanating, covers with gilt outer frame made up of two triple fillets enclosing varying flower heads, attractive corner piece tool in gilt, this surrounding a blind inner frame of triple fillet and flower head corner tools, gilt roll to inner edges, a.e.g. Rubbed to extremities, corners bumped and worn. Lightly browned internally, with occasional light foxing, previous owners book plate to front pastedown, previous owners name to reverse of front endpaper. Reprint. Full Morocco. Good. 8vo.

Munich: Privately Printed at the Bremer Press, 1923. 455pp, [1], original quarter cloth and boards with original paper label to spine. Spine slightly dulled, label browned, minor splits to joints at head of spine, minor chipping to foot of spine, covers slightly faded to edges, corners bumped. Internally bright and clean. Number one hundred and eight of one hundred and fifty-five copies, 'numbered and signed' according to the colophon, but I can see no evidence of it being signed (presumably as issued?). Printed on Zanders handmade paper by The Bremer Press in Munich, with five hand-coloured double-page landscapes by Annette von Eckardt. First Edition. Quarter Cloth and Boards. Good+. Thirty-seven tissue guarded mounted albumen prints (three to each part and a small one to title page), generally c. 230mm x 165mm in size (or vice versa), each with an explanatory text leaf. All parts lacking backstrips and effectively disbound, a few wrappers lightly dust stained, a couple torn but with no loss, upper wrapper to Part 12 soiled, lower wrapper with greasy soiling. Small tear to head of text leaf to 'Jerusalem From Mount of Olives', first mount with light water staining to outer edge, one or two of the images lightly faded, but generally good strong images.
