London: William Heinemann, 1898 8vo., original olive-green cloth, blocked in gilt with title and floral motif to upper board, and lettered along spine; outer edge untrimmed; pp. [ix], 2-527, [xli]; boards a little worn, particularly to the edge of the cloth; sunned along spine, which is also creased; a little shaky in the binding, which is cracked to gutter, some pages a little loose, but holding; for the most part very clean, internally, save for a previous owner's name in ink to title, who has also dashed through the page; occasionally light staining and marking, more so to the first and last few pages; the odd corner crease.  First edition, with the lengthy publisher's catalogue intact to rear.  An interesting example of early 19th century feminist literature. Description:
London: Secker & Warburg. FIRST UK EDITION. The book has mild pushing to spine tips and a small single penned name to upper front paste down. Bright crimson unfaded top stain. The wrapper has a little soiling to the rear cover with a very small chip to upper edge of rear cover. Light browning to spine. Overall a near fine copy. This one is particularly rare as it is signed by the author without dedication to the title page.  The novel is the first book of Grass's Danziger Trilogie (Danzig Trilogy). It is widely regarded as the author's masterpiece. Adapted to the big screen in 1979 to critical acclaim. This title is particularly rare to find signed.   . Near Fine. Hardcover. 1st Edition. 1st Printing. 1962.

Heinemann. London: Heinemann (1950). First edition.  8vo., black cloth boards, silver lettering to the spine, with the original dust jacket; pp. [viii] 3-188 [ii]; A near fine copy. The jacket hasn't been price clipped displaying 6s. net. The notoriously fragile wrapper is complete and rare thus. There is light edgewear and rubbing to the spine ends and corners.
