A work apparently celebrating the publishing firm of Arts Graphiques Haefeli, containing philosophical text followed by 18 color plates. Slipcase and outer folder in GOOD condition, with interior being NEAR FINE bearing little wear. Minor browning to the folder. Heavy tearing and loss to the rice paper jacket. Moderate to heavy uneven browning and fading to the slipcase, with light scuffing and soiling.

A single issue of this weekly journal, notably featuring a "Suggested Prologue to a Dramatized Version of 'She'" by H. Rider Haggard. This includes dialogue and stage settings and direction. "She" Is a popular novel by Haggard, being an early work in the lost world and fantasy genre. Also present is an account of a tornado that hit Mount Vernon, Illinois, with a full page of illustrations depicting damage. GOOD condition. Apparently disbound from a larger work, with roughness along the spine edge. Largish pain affecting the upper front cover, mostly in the masthead. Pamphlet. 16 pp. An address by William Haile, then governor of New Hampshire to the New Hampshire Legislature, discussing taxes, appropriation of funds, laws, etc. Of note is his plea for less restrictions on suffrage, citing national concerns over the influx of immigrants to the United States. Haile also addresses slavery in the United States citing encroachments of it at the national level and arguing that all constitutional means must be used to stop it from spreading. The governor cites the lack of redress for enslaved people in the court of law, recently upheld by the United States Supreme Court. With an ownership inscription perhaps reading 'John Bartlett Du (?) ing.' GOOD condition. Square area of browning/offsetting on most of the center front cover. Minor pencil notations to the front page, with minor soiling. Light toning to the paper.

A collection of poems by the 'policeman poet' Dell Hair, covering a range of subjects, including Charles Lindbergh and the Spirit of St. Louis and his (pending?) flight to Paris. This includes a photo of the plane and Lindbergh. With poems on war, love, etc. Dell Hair was born in Michigan and after serving in the US Army (allegedly helping to quell the Geronimo uprisings), he served as a policeman in Toledo, before forming his own private security company. GOOD condition. Wrappers chipped, with loss, at the corners. Tear at the upper front hinge. Minor soiling and general fading. Some toning to the text block.
