Light green cloth decorated in red and darker green. The author's first novel of which only 500 copies were printed.Presentation copy from the author, inscribed by him on the verso of the front free endpaper: ''To Ella M. Green from her affectionate brother the Author''. The recipient is the author's sister.Each volume has been sympathetically recased retaining the original endpapers. Some light foxing here and there. Some staining to pages 120-121 and also to top margins of last few pages of third volume. Covers rubbed and lightly marked. Spines faded and that of the second volume showing signs of damp. A very good set. Rare.
