Nevertheless, significant in that this copy is signed by the author to Eliot Elisofon (1911-1973): "To Eliot Elisofon ALhoa. Henry Inn" with Inn's Japanses red ink "chop" beneath his signature. Elisofon was active as a photographer from 1935 through his death in 1973 and was a staff photographer/correspondent for LIFE Magazine from 1942 through 1972. Includes maps, plan for roadside amenities, the Yukon Border Crossing facilities, and photographs of current buildings, passes, and ranges. A stunning early planning piece for access to more of the Alaska Territory which wouldn't attain statehood until 1959.
