Description:
Greenfield, IN: Mitchell-Fleming Printing, Inc., 1955. Octavo (9.25 x 6.25), 291 pages. Hardcover in red cloth with gold stamping. Cover has some minor shelf-wear, particularly evident at the top and bottom of the spine, which is a bit faded. Interior is clean with one page defaced (dare we say) by a previous owner. However, this page has been replaced with a copy of the original. The titular Bartholomew Jacoby (c. 1747-1830+) was believed to have been born in Pennsylvania and died in Mississippi. Some indefinite ancestral research is cited for Bartholomew Jacoby, and this volume traces six generations of his descendants. Appendices provide information about others with the name Jacobs, and an index is included. Alternate spellings include: JACCOBY, JACOB, JAMES, JAKOBI, JACOBI. Other family names prominently mentioned include: CRAMER, JAMES, LEONHARD, NIFONG, SMITH, WADDELL, and WILLIAMS.
