Jacket is unclipped ($7.95) with 1 inch jagged tear to middle of front cover, tape repair to top inside of rear panel andlarge paper affixed to inside of jacket to bottom half of spine and over onto panels and photo copy of another jacket spine glued onto outer surface where damaged. Spots of rubbing to edges inked in and some other small stains, amrks and scuffs.

Circa 1950's due to the faact this has a cover design by Alvin Lustig who started designing then. In red boards and black type to spine. Rubbing to all edges, corners(rounded) and spine ends with spots of paper loss. Several words underlined in red early in book, otherwise interior clean, though with a bunch of creased corners. Binding solid. Jacket is unclipped with chips and short tears to spine ends (and adjacent panels) and corners and wear/nicks and some creasing to edges. Scuffing and some flaking at edges. Small sticker to bottom of rear panel and type on spine faded.

Published in the US in 1965, ther year of the poet's death, this is a First Printing of the First UK Edition published a couple years later. In terra cotta boards with bright gilt to spine. Top corners dinged, otherwise quite nice and clean with solid binding. Jacket is uncipped (12s/6d net) with 3/4 inch tear and associated crease/small spot stain to top of front panel. and a few nicks at spine ends. Quite scarce - much more so than the First US Edition.
