Very Good Plus in a Very Good jacket; light foxing and bumps, and jacket spine faintly faded, rubbing, a large tear at the crown with cello-tape repairs on the verso, brief wear at the extremities.

Various Publishers, Circa 1960s. Very Good Plus. 61 original b/w photographs featuring nude art model Carushka Jarecka, known to Elmer Batters & many of his fans as "Caruska," here mostly as "Carol Miller." Batters hired her at Pretty Girl International in Hollywood (where Uschi Digard worked too); Carushka would become a fan favorite for appearances Batters' "Leg Art" digests, standard under-the-counter Parliament magazines. A later volume published by Taschen called "The Caruska Sittings" collects many photos from those sessions. While many of the recognizable images of Carushka were snapped by Batters, her work at Parliament echoed a different perspective, finding her more in the boudoir than outdoors on a swing, likely the poser for photographers at PN like Ron Vogel and Keith Bernard. Vintage digest magazine, featuring poetry, b/w illustrations, publisher statement promising 3 subsequent issues. From Adelphi, but named after the oldest, largest mill in the Washington, DC, area. Very Good condition, light rubbing, toning, foxing, faint pencil to front.

Casino Books 209, 1979. Very Good. First Edition, a Paperback Original, first printing. Distributed by Parliament News. Vignette cover photo featuring glamour model & buxom favorite Roberta Pedon, seen in big white sunhat. Hardcore novel about open marriage. Casino published several titles featuring popular models on the covers, but the house was short-lived. Italian Roberta began modeling in early 1973, and saw greatest success perhaps a year later, when Parliament took hold of much of her American appearances. Her candle still burns, and paperback covers of Pedon are scarce. Strong Good, foxing/tiny bruises/rubber stamps, remainder. For mature, consenting audiences.
