A limited edition of authorised photographs taken by renowned stills-photographer David James during the filming of HIGHLANDER (1986). The edition was limited to 500 sets of which this is number 275. To our knowledge the set was not available commercially for sale and was intended for cast and crew members and publicity purposes etc. All 15 black and white prints are present, each one blind-stamped and numbered in pencil 275/500 by the photographer. Included in the set are some of the most iconic images from the movie. Each photograph is mounted, the cards measuring 16" x 12" approximately. In VG clean condition, evenly toned - the upper corner at lower wrapper is a wee bit turned. Nicely inscribed, signed and dated by Adrian Mole creator, Sue Townsend, at the title page.

This lovely example has been enhanced even more with a signature-cut of Tove Jansson which has been neatly pasted in at the title-page. Original 1/4 cloth, pictorial boards, pp. 166(7), illustrated by the author with vignettes and numerous full page drawings. Includes the story, The Invisible Child. which is the title of the book in Swedish. Fine condition, very minor bumps and rubs to the corners incurring slight loss of colour. Free from owner names etc, exceptionally clean and bright without the normal print soiling at the rear board.

Finland, 2010. 1st Edition 1st Printing. No Binding. Fine. A First Screening one-sheet poster for the Finnish 2010 movie MOOMINS AND THE COMET CHASE. Based on the Moomins novel, Comet in Moominland, the film was the first-ever 3-D animated movie produced in the Nordic countries. It was shown at Cannes in May 2010 and had a successful international release. The film was first screened in Finland on August 6, 2010 and there were no further theatrical releases - in fact it was shown on t.v. in Finland the following year. The poster measures 39.5 inches x 27.5 inches approx, Condition: C8 (Fine to Very Fine) Rolled, no pinholes but appears to have been clamp-mounted in some way with resulting noticeable creasing and a couple of microscopic nicks along the extreme left edge from bottom to middle approximately. A nice, clean copy, free from owner names etc. The paper has browned with age and the spine of the book is also a little darkened. Minor edge wear to te wrappers but remains presentable.

Published in Helsinki by Schildts, Tove Jansson's publisher in her native Finland, the original first printing of the book by which she is arguably best-known nowadays. Printed in the Swedish language. Of legendary scarcity and in superb condition. In the publisher's 1/4 cloth with marble-effect boards, pp. 119 (120), the binding is firm and square, corners sharp. The block remains fresh and white and is free from previous owner names, finger-marking etc. A Fine example. The dustjacket is in VG shape without loss. A small nick to the top edge of the rear panel, minor shelf-wear along the top edge. Fixed to the title-page a beautiful example of the author's hand-signed autograph in green ink. A spectacular copy of this classic work.

In 1987, to coincide with the Gothenburg Book Festival, Bonniers published this limited edition facsimile of the author's holograph manuscript. Softcover format, 26pp. the vignette on the front cover is also by the author. A Fine, clean copy with some minor surface damage to the rear cover where a sticker appears to have been removed.

First Thus, the Finnish language edition of Tove Jansson's final, original book which was published in English as "Notes from an Island" in 2021. Written with her life-partner, Tuulikki Pietilä (who provides the striking illustrations) the book describes episodes from the many years spent at their remote summer cottage off the coast of Southern Finland and is a touching finale from these two great artists. Blue cloth with silver titles at the backstrip, pp. 102, a Presentation copy inscribed and dated to its recipients by Tuulikki ("in friendship") in the year of publication and signed simply by both "Tove" and "Tuulikki". A very pleasing copy of this attractive book.
