Half brown calf over marbled boards with raised bands and gilt title on brown label to the spine. Condition good, ex-library, the Bibliotheque Guille-Alles in Guernsey with their small labels to base of spine, labels to front paste-downs and stamps to end-papers, there is a gift inscription to the front end-paper name is not legible but they were donating the book to the library in 1856, no other markings. The binding is rubbed at the corners hinges and edges, the backstrip is half come away from the spine, last page of index repaired along outer edge, spotting to first and last 20 or so pages, the odd page with some light spotting to margins here and there but contents are generally clean.
