Portland, OR: Scantron Press, 2021. First printing. (32) pp., 12.5 x 12.5 inches. A digitally printed edition of 250 numbered, signed, handsewn copies, with covers printed letterpress, based on the fine-press edition, which was printed letterpress and illustrated throughout using myriad printmaking techniques, and published in an edition of forty numbered copies, handsewn and bound in boards covered with cloth silkscreened at Atelier Meridian. The text for the fine-press edition was handset in Weiss foundry type; the Rives endsheets eco-printed with plants found on Mt. Hood; animal habitats and landscape images created by pressure printing and reduction woodcuts; animal drawings in Sumi ink reproduced using solar etching plates; and the centerfold spread combined multiple techniques with monoprinting. New. Owed to The Mountain takes three forms: a sumptuous fine-press book, published in an edition of 40 copies; eight copies of a sculptural artistÂ’s book, each accompanied by a copy of the fine-press… Read More
