The author gives a history of Charles Abbott Kennedy [1844-1915]. He was born in Pennsylvania, served in the Union Army during the Civil War and later settled and farmed in Kansas. The second part of the book gives a history of the family going back to colonial days. Some dates have been corrected and a few notes added in ink..most likely by the author. Note: no relation to the other Kennedy family.
