Description:
London: Robert Hale, 1967. First Edition. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. First UK Edition. Publisher's black boards with silver lettering to the spine. A fine unread copy in a VG+ D/W slightly rubbed to the spine tips. Author is best known for his short story The Fly which was twice filmed: N.B: Christopher Fowler's regular contributions to The Independent on the subject of forgotten authors (and recently collected in book format as The Book Of Forgotten Authors) devotes a full page to Langelaan. Judging by the lack of availability of English language translations of his works, I would venture to say he's no longer forgotten but very much in demand! A scarce crime thriller. Uncommon.
