Bound in the publisher's original brown cloth with the title stamped in gilt on the front cover and spine and stamped in blind on the back cover. Blind stamped rules on the covers and gilt stamped rules on the spine. 366 pages. Some rubbing to the front and rear covers. Bumping and rubbing to the head and tail of the spine. Spine beginning to part at the hinges, but still intact. Damp staining is present from the bottom upward on almost all pages, but except on a very few pages discolouration is is mild enough to be barely noticeable. The fep, title page, and frontispiece do show more obvious signs of the staining, and these pages also have a little bumping and creasing. Contents are otherwise clean and sound.
