Klinkhardt & Biermann, Leipzig, 1923 (German language), Band 38 (first edition), boards decorated with period geometric design (paper), cloth backstrip, octavo, 20.5 cm tall, portrait frontispiece and 32 black and white plates, 11 pages text. Very Good copy, 1/2 inch closed tear at bottom of spine. In 1907, the art historian Georg Biermann and the publisher Werner Klinkhardt founded the Klinkhardt & Biermann publishing bookstore in Leipzig. The series "Junge Kunst" (New Art), a modern art-historical collection of bibliophile monographs on the European avant-garde of the early 20th century, caused a sensation. In Good Condition - Pages are clean and binding is firm, slant and twist to spine, covers are soiled. Nice bold signature. From the estate of book collector Albert Raman who attended the short-lived Eisenhower College, where one of the buildings was dedicated to Bob Hope, a regular visitor to campus. It's almost certain Albert Raman had these books signed personally.
