Description:
Senlis; Folio, art, Senlis, Signed, First Edition, 1929; Maricourt, du baron André de; This is a loose publication and was never bound. The paper is a heavy stock with some toning and the occasional very light fox spots probably due to the paper maker. The slip case is nearly destroyed and wanting. The book itself is clean cover and tight. There are 14 full page color plates that are exquisitely detailed by the artist Charles-Jean Hallo as well as chapter heading engravings as well (15) plus some smaller vignettes throughout. The publication also has an interesting dedication "To Mr. and Mrs. Emerson with much affection from the Chamberlains, et bon voyage". Signed also by the author du Baron Andre de Maricourt and the artist. A very rare work.
World Catalog of Libraries only finds one copy as shown below:

Clark, the Secretary State for the State of Colorado, and Mr. Lafe Pence as well as Perry Belmont and J. W. Hinckeley were all probably involved in the Walker Company, a private company floated by Belmont and Hinckeley and others. Morton and Company.
