Symmetric spotting on inside, p.2, not affecting text or signature, some bleed through to front, otherwise VG. <br /> <br /> Jean Faircloth MacArthur (1898 -2000) was the wife of General of the Army, Douglas MacArthur and mother to his only child, Douglas IV. On April 11, 1951 President Truman relieved MacArthur of command of the Korean War. His trip home was his first to the U.S. in 14 years. Though it was precipitated by a humiliating firing, he received a ticktertape parade and grand adulation across the country.
