In perfect condition, this is part of the Crimson Cross series that involves each protagonist searching for a ruby cross, a mysterious relic brought to America by Columbus. Each person who comes in contact with the cross must prove themselves worthy of it, and thus fulfill his or her destiny.

This book was designed by David Saylor. The original artwork was designed from Ludwig Bemelman's original pencil sketches, and from these, his grandson John Marciano re-created the characters in full-color gouache for "Madeline in America". His grandson also created new original artwork for the title pages, the jacket and the spine area of the binding. There is a stamp of a previous owner on the inside front cover. Other than that, the book is in pristine condition.

One in the series of the Junior Deluxe Editions, the collection was developed in the 50's and 60's, and were well loved by the children who grew up with them. A list of all the titles in the series has never really been agreed upon; suffice to say that these books have been a favorite of collectors for a long time. This is a title in good condition, with no marks on the interior.

One of the lesser known novels by Louisa May Alcott, it was first published in 1880. The story takes place in a small New England town after the Civil War. After suffering a serious injury while sledding down a hill, the two recover and learn many lessons along the way. A "Rainbow Classic".

Viking Press, 1979. HB. Very Good. Even though this is an ex-library book, it is in almost pristine condition. Authored by one of the greats of children's literature, these stories portray the times our parents grew up in with perfect accuracy.

Ex-library book, with Discarded marking on the interior. The "First Book" series was inaugurated in 1944 by Franklin Watts. It began with the "First Book of Airplanes", and went on to produce 100 books in the series. It was designed with the purpose of introducing children to new subjects, written in such a way as to be interesting on their level. Leonard Everett Fisher, prolific illustrator of around 250 children's books, did the illustrations; he is known for his pen and ink drawings that are highly detailed. The interior is not marked, although the outside has library marks and a call number on the spine.
