Othwerwise there are no flaws.

This is the 1846 reprint of the book oriiginally published in 1832. It contains two titles: "The Backwoods of Canada..." by Cathrine Parr Strickland Traill (243 pages), and "The Oregon Territory..." by Rev. C. G. Nicolay (226 pages). It has been rebound in leather and is in excellent condition. The cover is 'like new' except for a bump at the front top edge. The pages are predominantly without marks, tears or folds. Some light to moderate foxing on relatively few pages. The exception is the "Backwoods..." title page which is loose, stained, has a small tear, and a library name impressed on the page. There are 12 high quality engravings throughout "Backwood..". We found two [one a map] in "The Oregon Terratory.." that are also in excellent condition. Catherine Parr Trail was an English/Canadian auther and naturalist who wrote about life in Canada. First edition, probably first printing (no other printings are shown on the copyright page). The book would be in virtually new condition except for a section of the title page that has been torn out. (see photos). Contains three novelettees by Pat Nicolette.

This is the third printing of this book by Macmillan. Numbered 4,749 out of 5,000 impressions. Previous editions were 1910, and 1913. Cover has some light fraying at top of spine and light soiling. The only other flaws we could find are some light fraying at the top corners from about page 105 - 175, and shadowing on the title and adjacent page.. Otherwise pages are in excellent condition. no tears, marks or foxing.

This is the second impression of the Macmillan reprint of this book. it is number 498 of 1250 copies printed. It is translated from the French with an introduction by J. M. Kennedy. XXXiii + 219 pages. It starts with the introduction by Kennedy (dated 1910), followed by a Preface by Henri Lichtenberger who did the translation from German into French (dated 1925). The text is followed by an Appendix, Select Bibliography and a List of "Works by Nietzsche. Light shelf wear at edges except for some chipping at the top of the spine. Binding is tight. Pages are in excellent condition: no tears, marks or foxing. Light age tonnig. Good quality, heavy paper.
