Dow, Boston as publisher.] 12mo, brown blind-stamped publisher's cloth / gilt cover illus and spine decoration, 323 pp, [12 ]pp of publisher advertisements, frontispiece engraving (Sisters of Bethany, by O. Pelton,), title page engraving. Condition is VERY GOOD- : typical rubbing and bumping to corners, rubbing along edges, spine head and tail have tears, lt. scuffing to covers, owner name on fep, internally very clean and tight, excepting the tissue guard for the forntispiece which has foxing. Includes a very helpful (and interesting...) appendix "A Course of Reading.
