Ex Library book - minimal use - good clean copy although does have Library Markings

The 12 essays contained in this volume constitute an assessment of the reconstruction of European cities after the Second World War. The essays are based upon new research by a body of contributors from eight countries, including architects, town planners, archivists and geographers. This being so, it is surprising that the work of the Mackintosh group, despite enormous recent interest, remains, in general, unexplored. This book gives new importance to the contribution of Mackintosh's wife to his art. It documents a dramatic story of lifelong loves and enmities. Equal prominence is given to ancient belief and modern… Read More
