Original publisher's black boards - gilt embossed to the spine. a former owner's name, place and date to the head of the front endpaper. The text supported by numerous photographic reproductions and line drawings. A light bump to the head of the spine. The jacket has not been price-clipped. It has a couple of small stains with tidemarks to the verso of the jacket (no signs of damage to the book itself. There is some uniform fading to the spine of the jacket with a small area of rubbing to the head of the spine. Some more general shelf wear to the jacket and an open nick and some rubbing to one upper corner of the jacket. The jacket has not been price-clipped.
