Copy belonging to actor Johnny Crawford, with his name in manuscript ink to the title page, and manuscript ink annotations throughout, noting his lines. Housed in brown wrappers with the episode and series titles and the date "Dec. 1956" written in manuscript ink annotation on the front wrapper. A jewel thief plans to rob a wealthy socialite, but finds himself falling in love with the woman's daughter instead. Brown titled wrappers. San Francisco: Club Oasis, 1990. Vintage flyer, produced by Club Oasis, circa early 1990s, advertising its weekly funk night, featuring "Annie 'Fingertips' Buerhaus." The popular San Francisco LGBTQ nightclub Club Oasis first opened in 1982. Following its decline in the early 2000s, the club was bought by actor, writer, musician, director, producer, and choreographer D'Archy Drollinger, who reopened the club as an internationally acclaimed drag show nightclub/cabaret in 2015. D'Arcy was appointed as the San Francisco Drag Laureate in 2023, the first Drag Laureate ever in the world. Paper tabs stapled along top edges, with scene numbers written in red manuscript ink indicating scenes. Title and Odet's name in manuscript ink on card stock affixed to the title page with cello tape, with a secretarial annotation noting the script as an office copy behind the card stock. Bound in before the script is a props list, itemizing props needed for each scene. The play premiered at the Belasco Theatre on December 28, 1954, running for 135 performances, before closing on April 23, 1955. First edition, second issue of Odet's first book, containing his first three plays, "Awake and Sing!," "Waiting for Lefty," and "Till the Day I Die," all of which were written for and premiered by the Group Theatre in the first half of 1935. Copy belonging to Emanuel "Manny" Fried, an understudy to Group Theatre co-founder Harold Clurman in the earliest days of its existence. Fried who went on to both write and produce plays, would eventually refuse to testify at the HUAC hearings and be blacklisted.
