Back endpapers and ads have detached completely but are still intact. Pages are unmarked. Light rubbing around board edges, mostly corners and spine ends. Three corners are bumped. Spine ends are softened and creased. Two white paint splotches on back bottom edge. Gilt lettering and decoration is still shiny and crisp.

Norman W. Henley & Co, 1903. Hardcover. Acceptable/None. Ex-library. Pages are tanned and many have small to medium tears at top and/or bottom edges. Several tears throughout were repaired with tape, which has browned and stiffened. Front pastedown and endpaper have sticker residue and damage. Back endpaper bears a sticker at bottom left corner. Boards are scuffed and edgeworn. Corners are bumped and spine ends are softened. Binding is starting throughout. Hinges have been repaired with blue tape.

Boards are solid and the spine is square aside from minor scuffs and creasing typical of water damage on the back cover. Binding is firm and the pages are bright, crisp, and unmarked aside from Supreme Court Library stamp on both pastedowns and free endpapers.

Large dampstain on back board that wraps slightly over to spine. Else moderate rubbing and wear to boards with softened spine ends and bumped corners.

Chipping, closed tears, rubbing and general wear around the edges of jacket, especially at the ends of spine and fore edge of book. Small yellow paint mark on bottom of front board, otherwise both boards and spine wrap remains clean and structurally sound. "Hunting" written in small, neat script on half title page, otherwise all pages are clean and unmarked. Binding is tight and spine is straight.

Board wrap on Vol. 3 is slightly different hue than the first two. Previous owner's inscription on front endpaper of Vol. 1, previous owner's signature on title pages of all three. Otherwise all pages clean and unmarked though tanned and mildly foxed on text block edges. Several instances of split binding throughout all three volumes, hinges remain intact.
