Cream and black paper wraps over clear card covers, with beautiful black and white reproductions of Paderlik's sketches of a female nude -- they look like pen and ink with a black wash. DJ has a bit of wear, chip and tear at spine head and top back. Creamy, heavy paper, each page is double/uncut so that each sketch is on it's own page. Interior clean and unmarked. The sketches were completed in 1971 and apparently published then by Odeon, reprinted beautifully in 1999. OCLC 45372587. Paquier. A life of Philippo Beroaldo the Younger. Appears to be a library binding, but no other library marks. Black cloth cover with bright gilt is clean and nice. Interior end papers have oxidizing from the glue at the gutters, title page and first few pages have creases, but otherwise clean and unmarked. Interestingly, there is a book plate of Revilo Pendleton Oliver, the noted Sanskrit scholar who became one of the most notorious American fascists, a founder of the John Birch Society who left the Birchers because they weren't radical enough. Strassburg]: (Martin Flach). Good with no dust jacket. 1495-1500. Hardcover. Small 4to measuring 8" x 5". This is the complete first part of the work -- de tempore -- with 178 leaves. (The "de sanctis" portion would add 96 leaves, not present here.) Rubricated initials throughout and touched with red throughout as well. Binding is probably a 19th century rebinding with leather spine and corners, cream paper boards, the spine with three raised bands and handwritten title and printer, along with a "1498" date -- ISTC dates it to 1495-1500 (ip00099000). Some normal wear to the binding, interior end papers have some oxidizing, light marginal soiling throughout, some scattered dampstaining in the bottom margins, occasional marginalia, one leaf has a tear in the lower margin, another leaf has a marginal restoration, a bit of gutter dampstaining at the rear, but otherwise clean and unmarked, very handsome. 157 short sermons "de tempore."
