Hoofddorp, the Netherlands: Sanoma Media Netherlands B.V., 2017. Issue 16 (2017) of Flow magazine. Large quarto, illustrated perfect-bound wraps, 163 pp. plus the pages of the several inserts noted. New, and flawless. The three inserts of this issue - Seven Day Offline Booklet; Flow Coloring Book; Fresh From Flow mini-catalog of paper items. See all scans. A very expensively-produced and quite charming example of one direction New Thought has taken - New Thought having itself evolved from the teachings of Phineas Quimby in the mid-1800s, and having become very self-diversified since. Graphically and spiritually very engaging. The "Magazine for Paper Lovers" is, of course, far more than that. Check both the contents pages (scans) for some detail on what's within, but a few topics are: New…

Illustrations uncredited, some taken from ads and older illustrations. Quarto, 104 pp. Yellow cloth with black imprinting; dust jacket is russet with white and black imprinting and device. Fine, flawless book in a near-fine, unclipped dust jacket with just trace wear at spine ends and some corners. "Mint Error" dust jacket reads, on the spine: "The Illustrated Manual Sexual of Aids". A beautiful copy of Rainbird's opus celebrating manufactured forms of assistance in the achievement of sexual satisfaction, largely focusing on devices for women - okay, dildos and vibrators - though an item or two for men (who, presumably, in Rainbird's eye, have less need for assistance) is also included. Time has marched on, technologically speaking, for this field of endeavor in the decades since…

Extraordinarily scarce first edition of Randazzo's accumulation (12 notable contributors are credited) of the stories of a number of twelve largely well-known (at least within the field) claimed contactees. Those are: George Adamski, Jerry Wells, Sixto Paz Wells, Charles A. Silva, Fred Bell, Hal Wilcox, Donna Butts, Eduard" Billy" Meier, Enrique C. Rincon, Benjamin Creme, Richard Rylka, and Claude Vorilhon ("Rael"). Note: one page of the section on Enrique C. Rincon is out of order (as-bound), but present. Chicago: Playboy Enterprises, Inc., 1985. "For the Title", the sixth and final (and toughest) qualifying puzzle for the 1985 Games Magazine / Merriam-Webster U.S. Crossword Puzzle Open, held at the Eisner & Lubin Auditorium at the Loeb Center, New York University. This is an original, as included in the kit sent to aspiring qualifiers who were not able to attend (or win) regional crossword puzzle tournaments - that being the other means of qualifying. This one was in the kit sent here (alas, I couldn't get the time off that year to try my luck at the competition). All of the six qualifying puzzles were very serious challengers, but the Sixth Qualifier in any year was, of course, always a monster. Merl Reagle at his fiendish best in this one.
