The lovely Frances Rafferty (1922 - 2004) is best known for her film work in Girl Crazy (1943) with Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland, Mrs. Parkington with Greer Garson and Walter Pidgeon, The Adventures of Don Coyote (1947), and Lost Honeymoon (1947) with Franchot Tone, and Money Madness (1948). She also appeared in many television series, including Dragnet, Topper, Pete and Gladys, Perry Mason, and My Three Sons.

She attended the 75th Academy Awards in 2003 and appeared in the Oscar winner tribute sequence introduced by Olivia de Havilland.

Miss Ralston was one of the WAMPAS (The Western Association of Motion Picture Advertisers) Baby Stars of 1923 - an annual award given to thirteen promising young starlets which was active from 1922 to 1934 . Jobyna Ralston is best remembered for her work in Harold Lloyd comedies, replacing actress Mildred Davis who retired to become Mrs. Harold Lloyd. In 1927 she meet fellow actor Richard Arlen on the set of the Oscar-winning classic "Wings" and later married him. Some of her other films include A Racing Romeo, For Heaven’s Sake, Girl Shy, Special Delivery, The Night Flyer, Rough Waters, etc.

Hollywood, 1918. Striking original oil painting painted by Natacha Rambova, the wife of Rudolph Valentino. Signed in the lower right hand corner, “Natacha Rambova - Hollywood 1918.” The painting is a very atmospheric and spooky affair in which Rambova depicts a carriage being driven down a gaslit cobblestone street pulled by two demonic looking horses. The passengers in the carriage are a ghoul and skeleton holding the reins and urging the horses on at breakneck speed. In the foreground, a man in a top hat is seen fleeing the path of the hurling vehicle. Painted on canvas, the picture has been expertly relined and cleaned by a noted conservationist. The painting itself measures 23 x 29 1/2 the painting then very handsomely framed to an overall size 28 x 35 inches.
