Klinkhardt & Biermann, Leipzig, 1924 (German language), Band 43 (first edition), boards decorated with period geometric design (paper), cloth backstrip, octavo, 20.5 cm tall, portrait frontispiece and 32 black and white plates, 7 pages text. Very Good copy, gap between text and illustration gatherings (backstrip visible), faint curling of boards at corner. In 1907, the art historian Georg Biermann and the publisher Werner Klinkhardt founded the Klinkhardt & Biermann publishing bookstore in Leipzig. Large oblong hardcover (10 x 13 x 0.75 inches), 144 pp, an ambitious work including the short story "Photographic Memory" by Jeffrey Eugenides, an 82 page "Photographs" section mostly featuring full page or cross page images, "Exhibition and Selected Bibliography". Boards are decorated with abstract chromogenic prints. In Near Fine condition with only slight ding on top edge of front board, and minor scratching to same board. A monumental work in many ways.
