Scuffing at the bottom front corners of the cloth. The interior is clean and tight, as if unread. The jacket is not quite as good with chips and short tears along the panel edges, mostly at the folds, and some spots of soil. Wrinkling and crinkling along the top of the panel edges. 103 pp., Sackheim's collection of quotations meant to be read as poetry. Unusual, and difficult to find in cloth binding.

Combined, over 380 pages and multiple lessons. Known as "the professor" to presidents, Sanz founded a lanuge school in 1939 just blocks from the White House. His textbooks are scarce.

Fair only condition - all pages present and legible - the bottom corner of page 37 is torn off, well below the end of the text. Small notations to the top of the front cover and the title page. Some pages have been colored in crayon - others are untouched. No bleed-through on pages that have been colored. There is soil to the covers and to some of the pages, and the low-quality paper is age-toned but no brittle. General edge-wear - it is showing it's age and use - but intact, spine solid and Eugene (the jungle pet) is adorable. 71 pp., tri-tone and quad-tone illustrations (except where enhanced with crayon).
