The tan, paper covers of this booklet are in good condition although they are partially detached from the spine. The cover edges are worn and frayed with a couple of chips missing. There is a small library stamp on the front cover and inside of the back cover. A previous owners' name and a few numbers are written on the top of the front cover; the previous owners' name is also on the title page. The interior pages of this book are in very good condition. They are clean and bright, with no foxing detected. An advertisement for the Annals of The New York Academy of Sciences is tipped in the back. The booklet is protected in a clear, removable plastic sleeve with backing board.

International University Press, New York. 1943. 308 pages. The book covers are maroon with black lettering on front and spine. There are some creases on the outside of the covers. The interior is very clean with no writing except for a previous owner's name/address stamped on the inside of the front cover. The pages are very clean and bright. The dust jacket is in very good shape with a couple of small tears (less than 1 in.) along the top edge and a couple of small smudges. The dust jacket is protected by a clear Mylar cover. This is the republication of an account originally published in 1911.

Sunbeam Publishing Company, Salem, NJ. 1937. 391 pages. Signed by the author on the title page. The covers are blue and in very good condition, there is some bumping/fraying at top of spine. The author and title are in gilt on the spine. The binding is solid. The dust jacket is just good, there is some loss on top and bottom of the spine and along the top edges of the front and back cover, and a tear (about 1 1/2 inches) on the back cover, and some discoloration. Still, the dust jacket is attractive and now protected in a clear, archival, removable cover. The interior of the book is very good; besides the author's signature, there is no writing or marking detected. The front and rear endpapers are maps of Salem County, NJ and surroundings.

The dark blue covers are in very good condition, with only minor bumping/rolling on top and bottom of spine and corners; there is one small spot on the back cover. The title, author and publisher are in gold on the front cover and spine. There is some minor fading to the spine, but the writing is still very readable. The binding is solid. The interior of this book is in very good condition. There is no writing or foxing detected in the book; there are two small erasures (pencil) on the front free end paper. Otherwise, the pages mildly toned and generally clean. The book is illustrated by Arthur Middleton and includes many black and white drawings and photographs throughout the book. This is a nice copy of a book that appears to be relatively uncommon.
