Two volume set: Black cloth binding with green lettering on spine and engraved design on cover, slightly worn and showing slight water damage. Inner bindings partially detached at back end paper. Pages are a bit toned, mostly in the margins. Thomas Sanford was born in Essex County, England in 1607-8, and emigrated to Milford Connecticut sometime before 1642. Ninth-generation author Richard Sawyer Currier traced his lineage back to Adam Dickey (d.1753), of Scottish lineage, who married Elizabeth MacPherson and immigrated from Ireland to Londonderry, New Hampshire, later moving to Chester, New Hampshire during or before 1741. Descendants lived in New England, New York, Michigan, Iowa, Washington and elsewhere. Includes Colby, Craig, Eastman, Goldsbury, McPherson, Stevens and related families. This volume is in near-fine condition except for a missing section torn from pp. 207 - 208. All missing content is poetry written by Frank H. Craig. Volume includes many black and white photographs, tax records, anecdotal information, obituary, indices of names and illustrations.
