The first state of this map was published in 1674 by Hubert Jaillot under the title "La Russie Blanche ou Moscovie Divisee Suivant l'Estendue Des Royaumes Duches". It was included in many atlases published Jaillot and his successors untill about 1720 when it became obviously obsolete. However around 1812 it was reissued probably to illustrate French-Russian war.
