Pages are largely unmarked with some writing in blue marker on front endpaper and a couple lines underlined in pencil on pg 172. Discoloration on back endpaper. Foxing on fore-edge and top edge of text block. Binding is tight. Board corners are bumped and all edges are scuffed and faded. Spine ends have softened, but gilt lettering remains bright. One large bump along top back edge and small bump along back fore-edge. Dust jacket is heavily soiled with a few spots of dampstaining on front. Tears at gutters at top and bottom of spine with small chip missing at bottom front. Corners have small chips and top front corner is ripped. Spine is sunned. Jacket now covered in mylar.

Corners bumped and slightly frayed. Spine is faded. Some black marks to covers, mostly back cover. Blacked-out inscription on front end paper, otherwise all pages are clean and unmarked. Significant bump to bottom edge of spine causeing creases and wrinkling to all pages in that area. Binding is solid, hinges remain intact, though there are a few instances of mildly split binding throughout.

Very mild scuffing to covers with shelf wear around the edges. Corners and spine ends softened and bumped. Text blocks sagging slightly with wear to bottom fore corner from rubbing. Binding remains strong on the whole. All pages clean and unmarked though tanned. Smells very faintly of smoke.
