Note: all pages are loose from the original glued binding--Quarto, 8 1/2" tall, 64 pages + 24 black and white plates; gilt titles, decorations, and fore-edge. In good condition overall; exterior generally worn with fore-corner tips through to boards, back strip cloth chipping top and bottom, front cover gilt and cloth color bright but somewhat soiled at the margins, back cover stained; interior paper clean and lightly yellowed. This edition did not have a sewn binding but was glued to the interior crash. This glue has, in this case, hardened and powdered, thus releasing the text pages. This copy could be professionally rebound and restored and is priced accordingly
