The billhead is for Edward Schelmerdine's hat manufactory located at 159 Chestnut St, in Philadelphia The invoice is for 3 purchases of Beaver hats during the year of 1830. Schelmerdine arrived in Philadelphia from England in 1807. He was an active member of the Franklin Institute.

Albany: 1827. 24 pp. Both titles worn, foxed and stained. Stang was led astray by Whipple's wife and he finely agreed to shoot her husband. Strang succeeded in killing the husband but ended up confessing to the crime and implicated the wife. In the end she was not charged, and he was hung. McDade, 933 and 935. Bound in recent black cloth.

Two painted original illustrations by Wallis Hall Sturtevant for Louise Lamprey's book Days of the Builders published by Stokes in 1926 The first illustration is of the construction of the Panama Canal and is titled "Warren took Dick to see the steam-shovels at work" and the other is a World War I theme titled "That's right: the street is full of Boches" Both images are about 13" x 10" and are in 23" x 19" frames Lamprey was a Maine author while Sturtevant was a Massachusetts artist born in 1897.
