Small tears at upper corners, small tears at upper spine edge. Spine is sunned. Jacket is in archival quality cover. Tan leatherette boards are like new with very slight bumpring to lower spine end. Edges are fine with deckle edge and red stained top. No marks or writing inside. Tight binding. Clean endpapers and pages with no foxing, marks, creases, like new.

1945 Viking Press printed by Haddon second state with yellow boards and blue type. No dust jacket. Yellow boards are strong, soiled, mild bumps to corners and spine ends, sunned spine, stamped blue type is bold on both the front board and the spine. Tight binding is slightly cocked. Pages are unmarked. Some soiling to endpapers.

Spine has black library tape. Pages are beginning to loosen from spine with some loose pages. Pages are lightly tanned. Generally unmarked.

Faint age toning on very outer edges. Spine has deeper coloring but with no wear. The boards are in remarkable condition with no bumps, top and bottom of spine is like new. Binding is straight and tight. No dust jacket. End papers are strong and tanned. No marks inside or out. Pages are clean, bright, unmarked, uncreased. Edges have a few spots of foxing and a thumbing smudge on bottom edge.

SIGNED by author. Inscribed to two friends and dated 7/11/77, signed Bob with a sun-like drawing below his name. Blue linen boards with gold type on front, silver on spine. Minimal foxing on endpapers. Tight binding, pages unmarked.
