The Home University Society created a series of books in 1927; this edition was printed in 1938. This volume has black and white and colored pictures, with only a very few pages with scribbling on them. It contains stories about heroes and children around the world. 395 pgs.

This 22 book series was produced in the 70's, and included stories about famous people from all over the world, such as Joan of Arc, King Midas, Merlin, Pocahontas and Davy Crockett. They are all 32 pages long, and are beautifully illustrated.

The Volland Company published books and other items for children in the years between 1908 and 1959. Their expressed purpose was that the books..."should make children happy and build characterunconsciously and should contain nothing to cause fright, suggest fear, glorify mischief, excuse malice or condone cruelty." The only writing is an inscription in pen in the front of the book; the pictures are still quite vivid and beautiful.

A very nice biography about the founder of Chik-Fil-A, this auto-biography tells the story of how Mr. Cathy began selling soft drinks in his neighborhood at the age of 8. This is an amazing success story!
