Tasso was a poet of the late renaissance, and wrote in Italy. This work is by far his most famous one. It is an epic poem that tells the story of the capture of Jerusalem from the Turks during the First Crusade. Significant rubbing to the extremities, a bookplate on each first blank leaf and the pageblocks mildly wrinkled.
