New York: Holt, Rinehart, and Winston, 1965. First Edition First Printing . Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. This book is clean, tight, square with sharp corners and unmarked. It is lightly rubbed at the edges and the spine is mildly sunned. It has 209 bright, clear, pages bound in blue cloth covered boards with gold titles in a dark blue box on the spine. It is from the library of John Michael Kauffmann, author, reporter, conservationist, philanthropist and bears his lovely bookplate on the front paste down. Udall has inscribed the ffep to Kauffmann: "For John Kauffmann a friend who has served with distinction at Interior! Stewart Udall Nov. 6, 1968
