This cbook was stored with another book on top of it protecting most of it from soil, but there is an inch or so of light soil across the top and edge of the front board framing the title. There is a gift inscription and date (1903) on a rear free end paper. A postcard with a color picture of the Gossport Church Star Island is tipped in inside the front board with the caption: "Originally constructed of timbers from the wreck of a Spanish ship A.D. 1685.
