This copy does not have the colored illustration pasted onto the front panel. The cloth is beige instead of green and the spine lettering is black instead of gilt. The dust jacket illustration has no color. There are no illustrations (just the frontispiece from p. 54) in the book, even though the title page states "With Illustrations by Orson Lowell". Variant?
