Light rubbing to the cloth at the corners and around spine ends and joints, with spine darkened and a bit spotty and scuffed. Paper over the hinges started but the binding is firm, text block tight, with only a little foxing throughout. A clean and tight copy.

London: B.T. Batsford, 1933. New Issue. Hardcover. Fine/Very Good. 4to. Green cloth with blue decoration to the front board and the spine. Illustrated throughout with black and white plates. Signatures are just starting, otherwise sound and fine. Dustjacket is somewhat browned, especially to the spine panel and rear panel, and there is some chipping and paper loss to the upper edges. Closed tear with adjacent crease to the rear panel.

Lower outside corners bumped. Dustjacket is clipped with some light wear to the outer extremities. SPine panel slightly browned.

A very nice crisp copy.

Seventeenth century limp vellum with gilt borders to both boards and small gilt devices to the four compartments. Old shelf sticker to the spine foot and titles in hand to the very top of the first compartment. Edges a little scuffed, the vellum yellowed and a little soiled, with light cracking in the vellum to the first two bands, with small chipping to the second in particular. Binding a little shaken but still very strong. Puncture holes at board fore-edges for ties, which are no longer present. Bookplate to the paste-down endpaper of Toronto collector Mark Andrews, with pencil erasure (some left) to the front endpaper, in Italian. Decorative map of southwest Holland (now the Netherlands). Rotterdam and other surrounding cities are included. Ships are shown in the bodies of water along the map, and detailed roads of cities are included. Colourful cartouche located in the bottom left corner of the map, illustrating fruits and floral designs.
