Golden age detective fiction title by John George Haslette Vahey a prolific writer who wrote under various pseudonyms, most famously perhaps ‘Vernon Loder’ and 'Henrietta Clandon'. Scarce title, particularly in the striking dustwrapper. With the very scarce promotional black wrap-around band with the quotation from AGATHA CHRISTIE: "I enjoyed the book immensely. The whole thing has great charm and freshness and I hope it will have great success". The band is in fine condition other than being a bit foxed to its rear portion (adjacent to the back panel).
