Lightly browned to edges, a few light spots of foxing and browning, but generally quite clean. The coronation of George V and Queen Mary. S.[arah] Burgess specialised in the printing of these commemorative tissues, generally the decorative borders were printed in Japan, with the overprinting which was "commonly primitive .. and display a ... disregard for niceties of typography and spelling" (Rickards, page 221) done locally. Internally lightly browned, one or two spots of foxing, but generally quite clean and bright. Gift inscription to ffep to an Arthur Pomeroy from a Dr Steele. The attractive hand-coloured plates to rear, binding is by F. Cavenagh of Dublin (See Ramsden, page 230, though spelled differently and at a slightly different address, almost certainly the same binder). Moss II:724 (quoting a review from the Monthly Review).
